When does using quantum dots make sense?

Quantum dots are the best solution whenever you’re looking for a high-quality and stable (long-lasting) material that can emit, absorb, or convert light while also providing additional device features, including flexibility, printability and transparency.

What does QNA Technology do?

What distinguishes us is the way we approach creating nanomaterials designed for industrial applications. At QNA Technology, we not only develop the technology and procedures for the synthesis of quantum dots, but we also work on modifying the surface of the dots so that they can be easily integrated with the technology used by our customers. Additionally, we’ve focused our efforts on the formulation of quantum inks which contain quantum dots to enable our customers to print semiconductors on any surface using the printing technology of their choice.

What are quantum dots?

Quantum dots are semiconductor nanocrystals about 10 nm in size. They are composed of a inorganic core and shell which determine the optical quality of material as well as an organic coating which determines the environment in which QDs can be placed.

Why replace other materials which emit light with quantum dots?

Quantum dots can be used instead of organic dyes. Their advantage results from their inorganic, crystalline nature and the quantum properties they can deliver to a nanoscopic environment.

How can our quantum dots be applied?

Our technology makes is possible to manufacture semiconductors in a colloidal form – one where the physicochemical properties of the solution can be defined by the user. This innovation makes it possible to apply quantum dots using most of the methods which work in case of organic materials.
